Reports Of Winters Demize Have Been Greatly Exagerated
!!!
I do apologize for not posting I'm very tired as
its been a very long winter for me, this is when things start winding down and so do I... But we still have a bit to go before
its 100% over and this week winter comes back full throttle, the cold on Monday Night will remind you of how things were last
month... And then we have to be on the look out for our Alberta Clipper Friend, usually these systems come through very fast
and moisture starved, but Mach is a funny time and these system to have a bit more energy to work with we will have to watch
this for the wednesday time fame as models as a whole are showing accumulating snow and with very cold snow raitios it will
not take alot of precip for a few inches... I'll have more updates on this tomorrow...

Whole lot of rain with this system folks as advertised
on here for days... not posting too much tonight as I believe alot has already been said... One thing that will remain to
our south is the severe weather threat and I do sound out my prayers to all that were effected by severe weather over the
past 24 hours, especically the folks in Enrerprise AL, who delt with tragedy today from this storm...
But again things will not get like that in our
neck of the woods...
Only thing we'll have to deal with is the
possible flooding with rain and snow pack in Berks...
By the time 9 am comes tomorrow this thing should
be alm ost completelt wrapped up and finished... Just pay attention tonight and be careful you're out on the roads... tomorrow's
rush may come just as thing is alomst done or just done... keep ur fingers crossed... See ya tomorrow folks... Goodnight.

So we got quite the soaker on the way it would seem, looking
at the models I can't believe some of the precip print outs...BUt sure enough there are a few that are very high...
Hot off the press the Candaian model has over 2" for SE
PA
The latest run of the GFS while much more conservative
than other models is begnning to poke higher with more liquid with a widespread area above 1.5" while there is a narow band
at 1.75"...
The NAM model have been VERY bullish on the event here
are the runs from late this afternoon and the latest one from about an hour ago... yes that 2" with pockets of 3" amounts...
We may even have to look out for the threat of some thunderstorms
which is rare for this time of year but possible olbviously the threat is greater further south... Here is a look at the thundercast...
And a look at future radar...
The steady rain moves in around 10pm... from 1am to 7am
is the heaviest... with the snow pack this could be a flloding situation as the water will just run off the snow and on to
the roads...

Update 2/27 12:27am
My Web Editor sucks... it didn't take or save the
update I've been working on for the past hour and a half so this will be really choppy and half assed... cause its late and
I am now very annoyed...
24 hour loop of yesterdays storm...
Front end thump snow did occur but it was too far
south of here, the over running precip dyed out and becam spotty and broken up once it got here... can be seen in this radar
image zoomed in and alos the tootal precipitation from yesterday as well...
Because the precip was broken up here it didn't
allow for the cooling dynamics to be at tehir best so instead of heavy snow with some sleet we got an exteneded period of
light freezing rain... This can be seen in teh snowfall map notoce the drop in SE PA surrounded by higher amounts...
But again I did well in some areas south escecially
and particulary with storm times... But accumulations killed the grade as this is a D+ at best... It was a tricky situation
and lulls in storms with time of year really kill accumulalations...
DGEX run today showed a classic dream blizzard
for Mar 4-6 time fram just eye candy but if happened as shown would be 60 degrees the day before hand... with rain changing
to ice and then 20"+ with blizzard conditions... again this is jusy eye candy for us weather junkies tho.. winter is
still putting up a fight and any storm can tap into cold air... thats why this time of year can be dangerous for big winter
storms...
But back to reality this week be on teh look out
for a warm rain storm this weekend... no snow or ice threat this time except in norther new england...
And again I do appologize first post was nicer
and more in depth but its really annoying to be done and then have to type it all over again and reload the images... thats
the biggest pain... Sorry and goodnight...
